Gang & Associates Supervises and Mentors law students in advocacy before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
Led by Cornell alumnus, Brandon Jonas, Esq., Gang & Associates supervises and mentors several Cornell Law School students each semester to present cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Veterans agree for Gang & Associates attorneys to bring on Cornell students to participate in their cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Two law students per case work under Gang & Associates’ supervision. They are mentored and taught how to engage in effective advocacy before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. They will discuss their arguments with the Practicum’s professor and Mr. Jonas, who both provide input and editing before the pleadings are submitted to the Court. This process often results in a Joint Motion for Remand (JMR) where the VA opposing counsel will agree to remand (send back) the case to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals for additional development and a new decision. The first client served by the Gang-Cornell partnership continued as a client of the firm after securing the JMR at the Court. He wrote a Google review:
Gang & Associates helped me get my VA disability for the skin cancer I developed from being in the service in less than a year. I had been trying on my own for 10 years. Would recommend over anyone else. They are highly knowledgeable and always on top of what needs to be done!!
Gang & Associates and Cornell Law School’s lecture series

In addition, Brandon Jonas and Eric Gang regularly lecture to the students each semester, guiding them on their learning path of veterans’ advocacy.
