Rashida Sims is a proud native of Brooklyn, NY. Rashida is the eldest of four and was raised primarily by her mother. She was raised to be inquisitive, enjoy life, and strive for the best. Rashida moved a few times during her childhood, from New York, to Washington, DC, to Texas. These childhood moves developed a nomadic spirit and since high school, Rashida has had the pleasure to live in, and travel to, several cities and countries around the world. Rashida’s favorite place to be is on a beach watching the ocean and reading a good book.

Rashida is a proud graduate of Hampton University, and received her bachelor’s in Sociology and a master’s in Counseling from Hampton. After several years in Human Services, Rashida returned to school and graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. During college, Rashida developed a passion for helping others. This passion followed her to Bowen Law School, where she was an active member of several community service and student leadership organizations. During law school, Rashida developed a passion for the law and since graduation has combined her two passions into a career path she loves.

Prior to joining Gang & Associates, LLC, Rashida worked as an assistant state public defender and as an administrative appeals attorney with the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Rashida’s professional and personal passions involve advancing the rights of marginalized populations. She is a passionate advocate and community servant and strives to use the law to improve the lives of others, both inside and outside of a court room.
